Permanent makeup for lips

“Lips are the most expressive feature on a woman’s face.” said Christian Louboutin. It is true, as well as being a source of beauty, our lips give our face character and the ability to show and share our emotions with others. As we age, our lips change. As well as losing volume, the pigment in our lips can lighten and also creep away from the border, making them appear smaller and less even. Permanent makeup can correct minor asymmetry and by adding back the missing colour provide a more youthful appearance of fuller, symmetrical and rosier lips. Other key benefits are it is there when you wake up, saving application time and the need to reapply during the day or evening.

Permanent makeup lip treatments

  • Lip liner

The border of our lips can lack symmetry. This can happen at any age but can become more pronounced as we age into our 30’s and beyond. The pigment in our lips can creep away from the outside border and make them appear smaller and uneven. I use my digital tattoo machine to gently and subtly contour the outline of your lips which can correct any minor irregularities. This treatment helps make lips appear fuller and more youthful and helps prevent the look of lipstick bleeding.

Before any tattooing takes place, we take our time to discuss the most flattering colour. There are a variety of warm and cool toned colours to choose from which can be mixed to match the desired colour. We will also discuss the desired shape and to illustrate this I will outline your lips in pencil. This time spent gives my clients confidence and they can relax during their treatment and look forward to seeing the initial results.

The price of £200 includes the initial treatment session and if needed a top up session 6 weeks later where any refinements are made.

  • Watercolour lip blush

Lip blushing is big news in the beauty industry and the benefits are easy to see. The results are a subtle wash of colour, that looks natural and is universally flattering.

As we age as well as losing volume in our lips the pigment in our lips can lighten and creep away from the border, making them appear smaller and less even. Lip blush helps restore the youthful appearance of fuller, symmetrical, and rosier lips and no need to keep reapplying lip products.

Like with the lip liner treatment, I start by using my digital tattoo machine to gently and subtly contour the outline of your lips which can correct any minor irregularities. I then gently shade the body of the lip by applying soft pixels of the chosen colour evenly across the entire lips. The colour achieved can be very soft and natural or a more intense shade.

Once healed you can use gloss to add a gorgeous shine or still use your favourite lip products to change up your look at any time. The key is you will still look great if you choose to do nothing. I literally woke up like this!

Lip blushing can be done on those who have had lip filler or plan to have lip filler, I can advise you at your free consultation. Ideally lip filler is done after your lip blush treatment so the aesthetician can work with the improved contours of your lips.

The price of £295 includes the initial treatment session and top up session 6 weeks later where any refinements are made.

  • Lip neutralisation

Clients with melanin rich lip tissue (typically Fitzpatrick 4-6) may benefit from lip neutralisation. Lip neutralisation is an advanced permanent makeup treatment which uses colour theory to address darker and cooler areas to give a brighter, lighter and more consistent appearance to the lips.

Typically clients will need 2-3 sessions and it can 8-10 weeks to heal between sessions. Price for 2 sessions is £350 and any additional sessions are £150.

    Lasts 1-3 years.

Lip blush before and after in a soft pink

This busy client wanted to a natural flush of pink so save her having to apply lipstick. The swelling reduces 2-3 hours following her treatment.

This client wanted the pigment in her lips tp reach the edge of her lip border as a little had crept away making her lips appear smaller than they actually are. Her lips are now fuller looking and what a stunning colour.

Before and after lip neutralisation and lip blush

I did two lip neutralisation sessions with this client to address the darker and cooler areas of her lips and this provided a more consistent base colour. I then followed up with a lip blushing session to achieve the pale pink colour she wanted.
