How often will my permanent makeup need to be topped up?

In the permanent makeup industry this is also known as a “colour boost” or “refresh” session and it should be a factor when considering permanent makeup and choosing your permanent makeup artist.

Typically, my clients will benefit from another brow session 1 to 2 years following their initial two treatments with me.  Lip blush is typically from 2 to year 3 years and lash enhancement from 3 to 5 years.  Typically the more mature and less oily the skin, the longer you can wait before needing a colour boost session.

I use pigments by Tina Davies and Evenflo which are renowned for lasting beautifully in the skin due to them having a high level of lightfastness, this means the different coloured pigments that create the overall colour will fade at a similar rate so the colour ends up being a faded version of the same colour rather than a different colour altogether.  My clients come back between the date ranges mentioned above so the vast majority have only needed the one colour boost session and I reflect this in their treatment price.

You won’t need to worry about booking your colour boost as I will make a recommendation based on your skin and book this in for you when I am doing the second of your initial two treatments.  I will contact you ahead of your colour boost appointment and we can adjust the date as needed.

If you are interested to find out more, please book a free consultation. I look forward to meeting you!
