Why do I need a consultation?

I know, it’s exciting!  You’ve decided to take the plunge and invest in permanent makeup for yourself.  So why do you need to see me for a consultation before having the permanent makeup treatment?

Firstly, I want to know what you want to achieve with your brows, eyes or lips.  Are you wanting a makeup look or something more natural?  Maybe you are looking to fill in some sparse areas on your brows due to over plucking.  You are wanting to get a soft wash of colour back into your lips or maybe you want the added definition provided by permanent lash enhancement eyeliner.  I will take a close look at your skin colour and type and make a recommendation about what will best suit you.  Also if you aren’t sure what will suit you best I will be delighted to share my thoughts and ideas.  

I am also interested to hear why you want permanent makeup.  Are you looking for a professional and flattering result, so you are looking your best all of the time?  Is it to save time in the mornings?  Perhaps you are wanting permanent makeup that because it is smudge and sweat proof? 

As part of the consultation I take time to explain the treatment itself, the before treatment considerations, the healing stages and aftercare.  The consultation is also your chance to ask me questions.  Ask me about my training, qualifications, and experience.  I am passionate about permanent makeup and love to talk about it. 

A key part of the consultation is checking you are suitable for the treatment and there aren’t any contraindications due to medical conditions or medication, so please bring a list of any current medications you are taking.

I finish my consultations with a patch test which is very quick and easy and then we can get you booked in for your treatment.
